The Buji Local Government Council Chairman in Jigawa State, Arch. Najibullah Falalu Tukur, has distributed fertilizer worth over N26 million free of charge to Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and women farmers in the area.
The distribution, which took place at Gantsa, the headquarters of the local government area, was held in a colorful ceremony titled *”The Journey So Far”*. The event was graced by prominent politicians, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.
Speaking at the disbursement, Arch. Najibullah Falalu Tukur said, “Today, I had the honour of making another mark in Buji Local Government Area, distributing 500 bags of 25kg fertilizer FREE to our farmers under the Matawalle Agricultural Support Program (MASP).”
He explained that other beneficiaries of the free fertilizer distribution included party executives, traditional rulers, imams, members of trader union branches, and personnel from security agencies.
According to him, underprivileged individuals from all 117 polling units across the 10 political wards in the area also benefited.
He stated, “This is part of our determination to uplift and improve the lives of our people by supporting them to become food-secure and self-reliant, in addition to contributing to crime prevention.”
“I deeply commend the visionary leadership of my mentor, His Excellency Malam Umar A. Namadi, whose agricultural reforms—from farm mechanization to improved crop production and the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development—continue to inspire us,” he added.
The chairman emphasized, “This is more than just fertilizer. It is an investment in our people, our land, and our shared future. It is my way of telling every farmer, every family, and every community: Buji stands with you, Buji invests in you, Buji believes in you.”
Najibullah concluded by affirming that they are moving forward with determination. “Our hands are on the plough, our hearts are full of hope, and the future is ripe for harvest,” he said.
