The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the judiciary for their roles in the restoration of the Aujara State Assembly Constituency.

In a goodwill message issued to newsmen on Thursday, Senator Nakudu described the development as a landmark achievement that restores a long-awaited democratic right and strengthens the foundations of justice, inclusion, and equitable political representation in the state.

He noted that the restoration of the constituency represents not only a victory for the people of Aujara but also a broader triumph for democratic governance and institutional fairness.

According to him, the people of Aujara have shown remarkable patience, resilience, and steadfast faith in the democratic process over the years, adding that their perseverance has now been rewarded with the return of their political voice within the state’s legislative structure.

Senator Nakudu further urged residents of the newly restored constituency to remain united, peaceful, and focused as political parties prepare for fresh primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He encouraged them to use the opportunity to deepen civic engagement and support the emergence of credible leaders who will advance development in the area.

He also commended INEC, the judiciary, political stakeholders, community leaders, and all individuals who contributed to the successful restoration of the constituency, describing their efforts as instrumental in strengthening public confidence in democratic institutions.

On behalf of his family, supporters, and the ADC, Senator Nakudu congratulated the people of Aujara and expressed hope that the new political chapter would usher in renewed hope, sustainable development, and greater participation in governance for current and future generations.
