The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor, has expressed his sympathy with the victims of the fire incident that razed the Dosunmu Market on the Lagos Island.
It would be recalled that the popular market experienced a fire outbreak earlier in the week with a loss of property worth millions of naira destroyed.
Jandor conveyed his sympathies with the victims in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mr Gbenga Ogunleye, a copy of which was made available to newsmen on Friday, expressing sadness at the unimaginable loss of goods and properties by traders and shop owners in the market.

The PDP standard-bearer, however, appreciated God that no loss of life was recorded for the sad incident.
“I can only imagine the huge loss to traders and shop owners in the market. We must thank God that there was no loss of life. I wish to convey my sympathies to the victims and the leaders of the traders association in the market,” he said.
Jandor admonished traders in the market to be more safety conscious considering the reported case of another fire incident around the market just two weeks ago, calling on the state government to consider giving out reasonable financial support to the victims to ameliorate their condition.
