Despite his mother’s warnings, Akin chooses instead to relocate to Lagos, where his only contact, Emeks (a former school mate), promised him enormous opportunities where he can fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming successful.
Comedy, adventure and drama all rolled into one, ‘Mentally’ features
spices of satire in the mix that will thrill every Nigerian, as it connects to the realities of as many people as possible.
Speaking on the project, the movie director, James Abinibi said: “the movie takes a cursory look into the life of an average Nigerian who in the quest for survival, decided to embark on a journey with little knowledge of what obtains in the new environment. It best explains the quest for greener pastures by young Nigerians in a bid to survive in the usually demanding world we live in.”
‘Mentally,’ written, produced and directed James Abinibi is due for cinema release on Friday, September 29, 2017.
