The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued warning that all tertiary institutions must disclose candidates admitted outside the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) before the August 31st, 2024 deadline.
However, the Board noted a significant number of candidates have been visiting itsoffices to resolve issues related to admissions made outside CAPS from 2017 to date.
“While we appreciate the enthusiasm, we must clarify that the focus is not on candidates’ actions.
The emphasis is on institutions, which are required to disclose all candidates admitted outside CAPS before the August 31st, 2024 deadline.

This directive demands immediate attention and compliance,” JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, stated in a Thursday press release in Abuja.
He urged institutions to carefully review the Board’s initial letter and ensure full compliance, warning that failure to disclose will result in severe consequences.
“Candidates are also reminded not to accept admissions outside CAPS.
The Board reiterates that candidates not disclosed by institutions will not be entertained, and any undisclosed admissions will not be condoned in the future,” the Board added.
