Last year, Governor Makinde approved August 20 as an annual work-free day in the state to commemorate Isese Day, a day set aside by traditionalists for celebration.

In the circular, the governor urged all traditional worshippers and citizens to use the day to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the state and the country as a whole.
