IPAN sets agenda for Soludo, calls for payment of workers’ gratuities

Igbos for Progressive and United Nationhood IPAN has called on Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo to look inwardly to ascertain the major challenge of the people, especially the civil servants and downtrodden in the state.
IPAN regretted that the previous administration under Chief Willie Obiano was not in charge of his government, thereby believing everything his commissioners told him.
The National President of IPAN, Comrade Lawrence Onuzulike who stated this in his release to newsmen in Awka, on Wenesday, observed that the former governor may have been deceived by his commissioners, especially, former Commissioner of Education, Prof Kate Omenugha, that teachers had been paid their gratuities, while none of them received their pension and gratuities.
Comrade Onuzulike commended Governor Soludo who had visited some schools to see things for himself, where he ascertain that the previous government was owing teachers of their gratuities and 2021 leave allowance.
He urged the Governor to sustain the tempo he has stated and urge him not to lose focus, but concentrate on practical ways to transform the state, not by theoretical ways.
“Governor Soludo has started well. You won’t know where to start if you don’t go out to ascertain the challenges. This was exactly what the Governor did by visiting Okpoko, Correctional Center, and other places, to observe the level of decay in those places.
“He should be in charge of his administration and not believing in only what people tell him, seating down in the office.
“We are impressed by Soludo’s body language and statements of how he’ll run the affairs of the state. We’re particularly pleased with the choice of his transition team, a choice that made it clear he wants transparency.
“IPAN call on Ndi Anambra, especially aggrieved politicians from other parties and their supporters to support Soludo to move the state forward.

“IPAN pledge to continue to work with the state government to ensure that voices of the masses are heard by the governor and that dividends of democracy are delivered to the people.”
