Federal government has been urged to as a matter of urgency invest heavily in infrastructure, power and the provision of Buses at subsidised rates for distribution at subnational levels, especially to states across the country, with the view to reduce the prevailing hardship confronting Nigerians due to the recent fuel subsidy removal.
Muhammad Akaro Mainoma, who is a Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Federal University of Technology, Minna and Vice Chancellor, Prime University Abuja, gave the advice on Thursday, while speaking with journalists on the sidelines of the 2nd Annual Lecture of Bursary department at the Gidan Kwano Main Campus of the University in Minna.

He added that Nigerians will be engaged productively to increase their income which he said, would automatically increase the power of foreign currency and reduce cost of the commodity.
On corruption, Prof. Muhammad Mainoma also wants the federal government to adopt a stringent measure that will enable it pursue the problem from the pọint of not allowing it to occur, instead of chasing shadows trying to recover the looted funds that have been stolen which it may be difficult to recover.
