Federal Government has been urged to restructure the nation’s security architecture to make the country safer and more secure.
Featuring on a news programme of the Kwara State NUJ Correspondents’ chapel, titled, News Keg in Ilorin on Thursday, President of a Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Oodua Progressives Care Initiative (OPCI), Mallam Morufu Olarewaju, said most techniques being deployed by the nation’s security agencies are obsolete and should be improved upon.

Mallam Olarewaju, who said that a proper review would provide an opportunity to know areas that require to be fortified, adding that institutions should be made to work to ensure the success of government effort.
He also called on the government to intensify efforts at encouraging dialogue among herders and farmers in the country to ensure peace and socio-economic development.
The OPCI president noted the need for the federal government to support the creation of local security outfit under the supervision of the Nigeria police to ensure security in remote areas across the country.
Mallam Olarewaju also expressed the determination of his organisation to support government effort aimed at ensuring peace and security across the country.
