Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Tuesday, said Nigeria, after independence remained a crawling giant, noting that the leadership of the country had exhausted all excuses for its underdevelopment 59 years after independence.

Akeredolu who was represented by his deputy, Hon Agboola Ajayi, called on the nation’s leaders to embark on the building a strong and viable economy that would generate a prosperous, progressive and dignified life for the good of the country and the State.
According to him, for the country to achieve her desired destination, more hard work, enterprise, creativity and the constant fight against corruption should be engaged.

He said the operation Amotekun would soon be inaugurated in the southwest geo-political zone in order to tackle insecurity in the zone.
