Businessman and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Uba Michael has lent his voice to the call for Nigeria to continue as a nation to engender growth and development.
Uba in his goodwill message to mark Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day celebration in Abuja, said the call for division will only bring destabilisation and a rerun to the dark ages.
He said, “We have come a long way. Sixty-three years is not a joke. Even a man that has gotten to that age will have made some irreversible decisions.
“What we should be talking about now is how to grow as a nation and not dicing us.
“With the amount of resources we have, both natural and human capital, we should be doing better as a nation, but we can only improve. We should should commitment to our nation Nigeria, that’s the only we can progress.”
He further called for more attention to be given to entrepreneurship and as avenue to reduce unemployment.
“I think more should be done in the area of entrepreneurship and that is one of the ways to lift Nigerians out of poverty. Those who cannot get regular jobs should be able to take care of themselves through entrepreneurship.
“I believe President Tinubu and his minister in charge of this will look do more in this area,” he said.
