Timipre Sylva
Former governor of Bayelsa State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Timipre Sylva, has reiterated his readiness to wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and deliver the state from poverty.
He stated that the current administration in the state has performed below per despite huge federal allocation.
Sylva, who described the PDP led government in the state as draconian, queried what the Dickson led administration has used “the over one trillion naira received from federal government for,” adding that no reasonable project can quantify the huge monies.
He made the revelation during his 54th birthday anniversary at the weekend in Yenagoa, lamenting that the state is currently owing over N700 million, adding that the time to clean the tears of the people has come.

“This administration is better described as a draconian kind of government, over one trillion naira has been received and nothing can be showed for it, seven hundred million is owed. The future belongs to all of you and we must do everything lawful to ensure nobody steals your destiny even if they have stolen all the monies that belongs to the people, you have to secure your future.
“In December, so many things will happen politically because you have suffered too much, people are trying to force poverty on you and it will never happen, the Lord has blessed the state abundantly and you must enjoy it. In everything you do, you must ensure we’ll take over the state. This time, I am ready to take over power from the PDP in the state.
“It’s time to take away poverty, we will have elected senators, house of representatives and majority in the state House of Assembly in the next elections. Enough of suffering by our people, let us bring back life to the state and put more money in the pockets of our people.”
