Why I’m passionate about Buhari ―Aghanya

President Muhammadu Buhari

A retired commissioner of police, Ibezimako Aghanya has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a man of integrity with a high degree of prudence and judicious management of resources.

He said he was endeared to the president by his rare virtues, saying he remains the only Nigerian at the moment who has what it takes to transform the country.

Speaking during the commissioning of President Buhari Support Organisation office in Amawbia, Anambra state, Aghanya said those who make negative comments against the president were battling with ignorance.

“Buhari as a person is one who anyone that has integrity would want to associate with. For me he is the only person that can change Nigeria,” he added.

He said his decision to set up a campaign office for Buhari in the state was to galvanize the Igbos, particularly the youths in order to sell him to them.

Aghanya, who served in Kogi, Benue and Ekiti states respectively before his retirement, expressed sadness over the deceptive utterances being peddled by the Igbo elders against Buhari, saying the setting up of the office was to address the issue.

“The elders are busy deceiving the Igbos telling them that Buhari has a sheer hatred for the Igbos. But I don’t think that is true. As far as I am concerned, he loves the Igbos and has their interests at heart.

“He has done a lot for the Igbos. If you talk of appointments, you have the Igbos in his cabinet. Enugu-Onitisha expressway has been for over 20years. It was even converted to farm. But go there now and see the work going on by RCC,” he added.

He disclosed his plans to replicate the Buhari support organisation office in all the 21 local government areas of the state before the end of the first quarter next year.
