Ilorin agog as Oga Bello gives mother befitting burial

Ilorin,  the Kwara State capital was agog on Tuesday as celebrities from the movie and music circles stormed the state to celebrate the life of Adebayo Salami’s mother, Alhaja Aisha Gbogunlori who died at 106.

Days after the passage of his aged mother, veteran actor and producer, Adebayo Salami who is famous as Oga Bello was high spirits as he welcomed family, colleagues and sympathisers to his Ilorin home for the eight-day prayer for his mother.

Oga Bello who described his mother as a woman with a special heart of gold who lived a fulfilled life, added that living to bury one’s mother is a blessing that only comes from God.

He added that he’s not mourning but celebrating his mother, saying for her to have lived up till 106 years on earth showed that God was kind to her.

Alhaja Aisha Ayoka Gbogunlori who died on August 3 at the ripe age of 106 had since been buried according to Islamic rites

Popular actors and actresses including Sunday Omobolanle, otherwise known as Aluwe,  Ajoke Asewo, Yinka Quadri, Mr Latin, Muiwa Ademola, Fathia Balogun, Bukola Arugba, Jaye Kuti, Jide Kosoko among others were seen at the Ilorin home of Oga Bello to stand with the actor in his grieving moment.

Some of Oga Bello’s children led by popular actor Femi Adebayo were seen consoling their dad as it was further scooped that no stone will be left unturned to celebrate the exit of their grandmother.

Artistes night procession was held in honour of mama on Monday with actors and actresses taking turns to entertain guests.
