The call was made when Sheikh Abu-Nola visited Oba Adewale-Shotobi in his palace as part of his familiarisation tour of Ikorodu Division Muslim Community.
The Ayangburen emphasised that there could not be a meaningful development in any society where there is no peace, especially among people of different faiths, noting that the gathering was about peace and unity for Lagos State and the country at large.

The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Abdul Semiu Orimadegun-Kasali; the Olubeshe of Ibesheland, Oba Richard Ogunsanya and the Chief Imam of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, Sheikh ZikruLlahi Tanimose Andu, among others, were present during the visit.
“The message of the gathering as Muslims is to know what we call peace and love, as well as peaceful coexistence,” Oba Adewale-Shotobi said.
Thanking Sheikh Abu-Nola for the visit, he commended him for his resolve to embark on regular seminars and the establishment of a school of theology in the state for the purpose of spreading the message of peace and love.
According to the traditional ruler, both the seminars and the school will go a long way in impacting positively “those coming behind,” praying Allah to be with the Muslim community and bring the initiatives to fruition.
In his remark, the Ranodu of Imota, Oba Ajibade Agoro, assured Sheikh Abu-Nola of the support of the Ikorodu Muslim community and the traditional rulers for the realisation of his dreams.
Sheikh Abu-Nola said he was in Ikorodu with a message of peace, unity and love, urging people of faith to shun disharmony which, according to him, helps no nation to grow.
