Ik Ogbonna, Sonia’s marriage hits the rock?

The once rosy relationship between Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna and wife Sonia may have gone sour.

Indications to this development emerged days back, when Sonia reportedly removed Ogbonna from her name on her social media accounts.

Information pieced together by R on Friday, revealed that Ogbonna and Sonia had been having some rough times in their marriage for sometime, as they had managed to keep things cool between themselves while they tried to find a lasting solution to their issues.

The couple appeared to have subtly revealed that all may not be well with their marriage following different messages shared on their separate Instgram accounts in the course of the week.

Sonia, on her account wrote; “One can choose to between reacting to people or situations or acting delibrately. Reaction is triggered and determined by external factors such as circumstances, others/ their behaviour or opinions towards us. It is an impulse, a need to respond in the way we were approached- oftne aggressively or negatively and its’s sort of a mechanism of defense.”

Sonia further stated that she chose to to be in charge of her life, a message that aptly confirmed that she might not be enjoying her marriage to Ogbonna at the moment.

“What you say or think is who you are: how I respond is who I am. I love myself because I stay true to myself. Life is not perfect but it’so beautiful and I wish you recovered from whatever you are going through so that you can as well realise the same before it passes you by because you were too busy feeding ill thought, bad wishes and rotten emotions, instead of filling your mind with gratitude and love,” she stated.

Sonia’s statement was followed by a deluge of messages from her followers with most of them asking her to take their marriage away from the social media and deal with their issues privately.

After much pressure from his fans, who were seeking answers on the true state of things between him and his wife, Ogbonna bowed to pressure and released a simple statement saying, “All relationships go through hell; real relationships go through it.”

While there has not been any official response from the two, those who should know are suggesting that the marriage that was once the envy of many, is fast-becoming a shadow of itself, as R gathered that Sonia and Ogbonna are currently battling to save their marriage from a total collapse.

It could not be ascertained what could have led to the problem in the marriage but some colleagues of Ogbonna have been dropping ecouraging messages for the actor on Instagram, urging the couple to remain strong together to overcome their challenges.

As of Friday, the situation remained the same for the couple, even as many people believed they would soon get over their challenges and remain the best couple they had always been.
