Founder of Wardiere Oakmount and a real estate sales coach, Kunle Ilori, has sympathised with families and victims of the recent incident that led to the death of 35 minors at a private free food distribution programme.
This is just as he condoled with the Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, as well as residents of the state over the unfortunate incident.
Ilori, who is an indigene of the state, said he was terrified when he got the news of the ugly incident which led to the death of minors at the funfair.
Acknowledging the prevailing economic challenges faced by citizens, the real estate expert emphasised that safety should be considered first in all dealings especially when it has to do with children.
While also keeping fate in the ingenuity of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Ilori enjoined Nigerians to exercise restraint and adhere to security protocols during palliative distribution exercises that may come in the future to avert any further tragedies.
He said: “My heart is with the families who fell victim to the tragic event which occurred barely four days ago in Ibadan, Oyo State. I can only pray to God almighty to please make this the last of such an event in our city.
“While I understand the situation of the country, I want to beg parents, governments at all levels, and givers who are willing to help the poor in this critical time to be safety conscious, most especially, when it concerns children.”
