The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has stated the areas that will be affected by the annual transformer maintenance in Ibadan.
TCN, taking to its social media handle on Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, stating that its maintenance crew will carry out annual preventive maintenance on its T2 60MVA 132/33kV power transformer in its Ibadan-North Transmission Substation on Thursday, April 18th, 2024.

The maintenance will last for seven hours, between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm, causing a total blackout in the listed areas.
“The maintenance exercise will last for seven hours from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm. Consequently, there will be power interruption in ADOGBA, ALAKIA, IBADAN-NORTH, IITA, and ODOGBO BARRACKS on the stated date, as TCN will be unable to transmit bulk power to Ibadan DisCo through the said transformer for seven hours.”
TCN assures that bulk power supply will be restored through the transformers by 5:00 pm upon completion of the maintenance.
