Nigerian music star, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, professionally known as Tiwa Savage, has set out clear and uncompromising standards for her next relationship, revealing she is seeking a partner with luxury, stability, and no family complications.
Speaking during an interview on Apple Music 1, the award-winning artiste discussed her 2023 hit ‘Somebody’s Son’ while opening up about the qualities she desires in a man.
The 45-year-old singer said she is actively searching for love but believes her “specific” demands could be the reason she remains single.
“I’m still looking for someone’s son. I don’t have any [partner]. And I think it is because I’m asking for specific things. Maybe I need to narrow my search down,” she said.
“I’m actually looking for someone who has a private plane, yacht; someone who doesn’t have baby mama drama because I can’t deal with that. Maybe that’s my problem.”

Her remarks follow a recent revelation in a separate interview with Zeze Mills, where she said her only experience of true love has been with her son, Jamil.
Reflecting on her past relationships, the singer admitted that what she once believed to be love was, in hindsight, infatuation.
“I’ve never felt true love except with my son. Looking back at my relationships, even my marriage, I realise it wasn’t love,” she said.
Tiwa Savage, who has been candid about her romantic challenges in the past, also expressed doubts about finding lasting love.
“I’ve tried repeatedly, so maybe love isn’t meant for me in this lifetime,” she said. “Maybe love isn’t for me because I have tried over and over again, so maybe love isn’t for me this lifetime.”
