I want justice for my mother ― daughter of Kogi PDP woman leader

A daughter of the slain Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) woman leader in Kogi state, Ojamalia Abuh, on Monday, demanded justice over the gruesome murder of her mother.

She said the womenfolk in the country should rise in defence of her mother and should not be allowed to die in vain.

According to a report monitored on TVC News, the younger Abuh urged the women and the entire country not to consider party affiliation before rising in defence of her mother.

The woman leader of the Wada/Aro campaign organisation, Mrs Acheju Abuh, was burnt alive in her home Ochadamu in Ofu local government area of Kogi state after the November 16 governorship election.

The was said to have been allegedly attacked by suspected hoodlums loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) while celebrating the victory of the party in the election.

The daughter, who was sober and dejected over the death of her mother, however, charged governments at all levels and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) to ensure justice for the family.

She said, “I want justice for my mother, justice, be you a man or a woman, I am calling on women activists, I am calling on those that I used to see on television to please fight for my mother.

“I know they will bury this case, I know that if women stand up for my mum, whether you are APC or PDP, but if the women stand up for my mum, she will get justice, all I want is justice for my mother.”
