Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy has celebrated his contribution to Billboard’s recently released list of the 50 Best Afrobeats Songs of All Time, revealing that he produced six of the entries.
Taking to his X handle, the Mavin Records boss expressed pride in the feat, writing: “Inside the 50 I sha produced 6. I try Abi, I no try.”
Don Jazzy’s production credits on the list include Wande Coal’s Bumper 2 Bumper and Kiss Your Hand, D’banj’s Oliver Twist and Fall In Love, as well as Eminado and Dorobucci, collaborations with Tiwa Savage.
With six tracks to his name, Don Jazzy emerged as the Afrobeats producer with the highest number of production credits on the prestigious list, which celebrates some of the genre’s most iconic songs.
