I have a painful piles

Published by

My doctor diagnosed me with piles and placed me on some medications about a month ago. Unfortunately, the drugs have not been very effective and the pain from the pile has continued even though there is no bleeding. Kindly advise me on what to do next as I don’t want any operation for the problem.

Apart from pain killers, there are various medications for the treatment of Piles (Haemorrhoids). These range from oral tablets to the ones including creams that you have to insert into the anus (Suppositories). Also included are antibiotics and certain foods and lotions that will prevent constipation which may worsen the pile. All these medications need to be carefully chosen and professionally administered for maximum effect. Therefore, if you don’t see any improvement, and you don’t want surgery, you will need to see your doctor again for a review of the treatment.
