I could have slapped Kwankwaso in Aso Rock — Ganduje

Former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has said that he could have slapped his predecessor, Musa Kwankwaso if he had met him at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Ganduje said this while addressing State House reporters after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Friday.

He accused Kwankwaso of masterminding the demolition in the state, adding that the demolitions in Kano were executed without due process and, therefore, breached the law.

Some structures demolished include Haji camp, Daula Hotel, and shopping complexes around the Eid Prayer Ground in the state.

Kwankwaso lost the presidential election on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, although the party’s candidate, Abba Yusuf, won the Kano State Governorship election.

However, both men were in the Villa at the same period to see the president.

When asked about the President’s response and if they had reconciled inside the Villa, Ganduje said, ” know he is in the building but we have not met.

Probably if we met, maybe I could have slapped him.”
