WIFE of the Ekiti State governor, Mrs Feyisetan Fayose, on Tuesday, spoke up on the coming governorship election in the state and claimed that there were fifth columnists in her husband’s government who are actually not friends of the government.
Mrs Fayose, who spoke during an inter-religious thanksgiving prayer programme, held in Ado Ekiti, said all wolves in sheep’s clothing in and around her husband’s government would meet their Waterloo this year.
At the thanksgiving service, organised by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Fayose on Religious Matters, Pastor Seyi Olusola, Mrs Fayose said it was high time all enemies of Fayose, but pretending as friends, be exposed and shamed.
She said: “Every enemy pretending as friends, close to the government of Ayo Fayose and working against the government, the Lord will expose this year. Enough is enough.”
Mrs Fayose, widely known for her spirituality, had predicted in June 2013 that her husband would be re-elected as the governor of Ekiti State and this, among many other predictions about the state, had made her to command respect when she speaks.
During the prayer session, she also said Ekiti people should “dismiss any negative predictions against the state and its government,” saying “God has assured me not to entertain any fear for my husband’s government in 2017.”
She said: “Don’t listen to whatever prophecies you are hearing from anyone. Anybody can say whatever they feel, but God has given all the power to turn every negative utterance to your favour. Confess positive things about Ekiti and it shall be so, no matter what any one says.”
Fayose’s wife also gave testimonies of the challenges her husband faced in 2016.
In his sermon, Pastor in charge of Ekiti branch of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Chapel of Mercy, Pastor Joseph Babatope Adeyemo, enjoined all Ekiti people to continue to have hope against all odds.
Pastor Adeyemo said: “Hope is a state of mind that keeps us going in life. I urge us to enlarge our hope for the good of the state and nation at large.”
Chaplain of the Government House chapel, Pastor Olusola led the prayer session at the event.
Dignitaries at the occasion included top government functionaries among whom are deputy governor, Mr Olubunmi Eleka; Speaker, Pastor Oluwawole Kolawole; Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Modupe Alade; Head of Service, Dr Olugbenga Faseluka; mother of the governor, Evangelist Olwafunke Oluwayose; Senator Abiodun Olujimi, Senate Deputy Minority Whip, Chief Jugde of the State, Justice Ayodeji Daramola; commissioners, members of the state House and party loyalists.
