Health officials attending to residents of Mushin community at the Pain Free Day Programme on Friday

Hundreds of residents from Mushin community of Lagos State received medical relief materials and services on Friday from a team of medical workers from an Indonesian pharmaceutical company in Nigeria, Dexa Medica.

The team comprised experts in ophthalmology, otolaryngology and general physicians.

Residents were offered medical services including eye, ear, nose, general body check-up, hypertension, blood sugar check-up as well as donation of prescribed drugs at no cost.

The event tagged “Pain Free Day” was also used the opportunity to educate men and women on measures of staying healthy during raining season.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tunde Ojedokun, the Brand Executive Dexa Medica, said the programme was aimed at improving the lives of people at the grassroots.

He said that communities and market areas were targeted for the programme due to the strenuous activities that take place there and the economic situation which affects routine medical check-ups.

Free focal glasses for eye correction were given to local dwellers at the one-day programme.
