I have been having Migraine on an ‘off’ and ‘on’ basis for months. Although the medications I am using seem to be effective, I still want to know how to effectively manage the ailment

To manage migraines, try resting in a dark, quiet room, using a cold or hot compress, and drinking plenty of fluids. Lifestyle adjustments like establishing a regular sleep and meal schedule, staying hydrated, exercising regularly, and managing stress can also help prevent migraines.
Over-the-counter pain relievers and prescription medications may be used to treat acute attacks, while certain supplements and medications can be prescribed for prevention. During a Migraine Attack, lie down in a dark, quiet room with your eyes closed.
Drink water and other fluids, especially if you’ve been vomiting. Apply a cold or hot compress to your head or neck. Take over-the-counter medications such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or acetaminophen (Tylenol) for mild symptoms. Stay away from strong lights, noises, and smells if they are triggers for you.
