How to cut your wedding cost and still have memorable event

Wedding is the most common event in our locality  hence a lot of  brides and grooms  to be always want their wedding to be the talk of the town.

However, despite our wishes of all the fantasies surrounding wedding events, we must be real with ourselves. Don’t be carried away by all the glitz and glamour. You must know and be sure that your budget can equally match with those fantasies.

If you have a low budget; here is the good news, you can still have a memorable event by following the few steps below:

 

1. Draft a checklist and prioritise your needs

Attend to the most pressing needs and do away with the ones that are avoidable.

 

2. Shop wisely and do not be afraid to ask for deals

If you’re getting most of your materials from a particular store, do not hesitate to ask for discounts because you will be spending much there.

 

3. Plan an off season wedding

Planning your wedding during this period  can bring you the best deal and bring down your wedding cost. You might be able to bring down your wedding budgets on services like cakes, venue, wedding gowns and so on.

 

4. Your wedding venue location

This can have a great impact on your wedding budgets. Find out if you can use a friend’s or relative spacious and comfortable compound. Look for your local church hall or public parks and gardens.

5. You do not need to buy wedding decorations

Liase with your local wedding decorator to get deals from them.  Also search for those offering discounts.

 

6. Select your flowers

If you’re planning on a low budgets wedding go for synthetic flowers instead of natural flowers.

 

7. Save on your wedding cakes

Wedding cakes can be pretty pricey, but if you cannot afford multi-tiered wedding cakes do not get it. You can arrange a fake multi tiered cakes with your baker just for you to use for pictures taking with your spouse, then your real wedding cake may be a 2 tier cake that would be shared amongst the guests

 

8. Your wedding guest list should not be too high

One of the biggest tricks to low budget weddings is keeping your guest list to the minimum. Only invite intimate friends and family members.

 

9. Wedding photography

You must think about this properly if you are working on a low budget.  Opt for a competent photographer that can work with your budgets. In most cases the photographer can connect you with an affordable videographer also.

 

10. Work with your wedding Planner

Your wedding planner knows where you can save  money the most. Cutting the cost of your wedding does not mean that you have to do without some things. You can still have a beautiful and memorable wedding as long as your wedding planner is given the detailed brief about the whole event.
