A House of Representatives aspirant from Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency in Ondo State, under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Adeniyi Ayodeji, has pledged his readiness to give priority to tourism in the area in order to improve the living standard of the people from the constituency.
Ayodeji who disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Akure, Ondo State capital, stressed the need to formulate laws and policies that would be geared towards the development of tourism in the state and country as a whole.
He noted that the nation’s tourism sectors is in comatose, stressing that the sector needs urgent attention for the benefit of the people and in developing the economy of the people of the areas.
He disclosed that that as a grassroot politician, he has taken some steps to meet with the people at the grassroots to know the areas of needs and what should be done in their constituency.
He also promised to give adequate attention to agriculture to fight poverty, unemployment and also to help boost the socio economic development of the people of the area.
He noted that the people of the area are predominantly farmers, saying the use of modern equipments would be introduced to make farming more attractive while people will be willing to invest in agriculture.

“We will make agriculture to be more attractive, especially to our youths. They have to be involved in agriculture to ensure food security and be self reliant and this will also helped to boost the revenue of the state and turn our communities around.
“Agriculture remains the only source of livelihood of the people in this area and if we can go back to the farm, it will reduce our overdependence on oil and reduce the present hardship and economic challenges facing the nation”
The United States (US) based Geologist also promised to bring quality health care delivery, education, youth development and empowerment for the people of his constituency if given the opportunity to serve them in the forthcoming elections
He noted that the poor condition of these sectors and promised to find a lasting solution to ensure that the people of the area enjoy the dividend of democracy.
He called for support for the present administration in the state to bring unprecedented development to the state, urging the people to vote for APC candidates during the election to reposition the state
