Prominent Islamic cleric and Chief Imam of Al-Manar Mosque, Kaduna, Dr. Tukur Adam Al-Manar, has called on leaders and Nigerians to repent and pray for God’s intervention amidst the current hardships ravaging the country.
He stated that it is no longer news that Nigeria and its people are going through difficult and perilous times that only God can help change.
The cleric made this statement shortly after special prayers for the twins and their late mother from the family of Amb. (Dr.) Malami Shehu Ma’aji, Ambassador-at-Large for the Africa Region of the International Human Rights Commission (IHRC). He emphasized that the only thing to do is to ask for God’s mercy and repent for our sins.
Dr. Al-Manar said, “The average Nigerian today is suffering, crying, and finding it difficult to eat three square meals a day because of the high cost of foodstuffs.

“We need to repent from our sins and join hands to pray for God to intervene. I know that if we do so sincerely, God will accept our prayers and make things easier for us, but we must first repent and do what is right,” he stressed.
Additionally, Alhaji Mohammed Jazuli Musa (Garkuwa Jega) described the late Khadijat Magami as a woman of integrity who impacted lives while she was alive.
“We are here today to remember and pray for the late Hajiya Khadijat Malam, who died shortly after giving birth to the twins a year ago. We also pray that God will protect the twins she left behind and the entire family.
“She was a kind woman, loved by all, and lived a life of compassion, touching lives in various ways while she was alive. We pray that Allah will forgive her sins and bless the family she left behind.”
