Former presidential media aide, Reno Omokri, has called on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to undergo a lie detector test following her recent allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
In a video shared on social media, Omokri recalled a previous allegation made against him by Akpoti-Uduaghan in 2021, which he strongly denied.
He stated that she had accused him of misconduct during a state banquet at Aso Rock in May 2014, but he countered her claim by providing travel documents showing he was out of the country at the time. Omokri said that after he presented evidence, Akpoti-Uduaghan deleted her allegations from social media, and the matter was later resolved privately.
Drawing a parallel between that incident and the current allegations against Akpabio, Omokri suggested that Akpoti-Uduaghan should take a lie detector test before the public forms conclusions.
“I do not know if these allegations are true. But one thing I know is that Natasha Akpoti previously made claims against me that were proven false,” he stated.
Omokri further proposed that the test should be conducted in the presence of a supportive senator and a neutral one to ensure fairness.
He concluded by stating that until Akpoti-Uduaghan takes a lie detector test, her claims should be approached with caution.
