THE pioneer students of Holy Apostolic High School (1980-1985), Ikole-Ekiti, Ekiti State have intensified plans for their first reunion meeting and anniversary scheduled to hold in October this year.
The reunion committee, headed by Mr Tope Ale, on Sunday last week held a virtual meeting where they concluded that selected members of the committee should visit the school and liaise with the school authorities for their needs.
The meeting, which lasted about one-and-a-half hours, was attended by nine committee members and was chaired by Mr Bayo Oloniluyi.
After much deliberation on the programme, the members agreed that feedback from the visitation to the school would determine the type of project to be executed.
“Aside from the intended project, consideration must be given to human development as a priority.
“All pioneer members will participate by contributing towards the anniversary, while our budget would be based on both the project and the entertainment,” the committee noted.
The committee further noted that all members of the union would be sensitised on the need for the success of the programme.
In his remarks, Mr Oloniluyi said that all members have confidence in the planning committee and promised to do all they could to make the anniversary a special one.
He also appealed to members in the diaspora to give their support towards the success of the event.
Those at the meeting include Mrs Tope Adewumi-Oniyelu, Mrs Peter Morakinyo, Mr Dele Abayomi, Mrs Tayo Adeniyi-Rufai, among others.
