Gunmen in the early hours of Sunday invaded the Rev. Father’s rectory of St. Ann’s Parish, Sarkin Kudu, and the Ibi local government area of Taraba and abducted Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe.
In a statement by Rev. Fr. John Jerome Laikei, director of communication, Catholic Diocese of Wukari, on behalf of the Bishop, Most. Rev. Mark Nzukwei explained that the priest was abducted at the Rev. Father’s rectory of St. Ann’s Parish, Sarkin Kudu, by yet-identified armed men.
According to the statement, the Rev. Father is a priest of St. Ann’s Parish, Sarkin Kudu, Ibi local government area of Taraba state.
Most Rev. Nzukwei appealed to all Nigerians of good will to pray for the safe release of the priest.
