Odumewu Deborah Sunmisola fondly called Pinki Debbie, who recently entered into the Guinness world record breaker for the longest dance by an individual,  has said, “Dancing is my hobby, I do it at every opportunity I get.”

Pinki Debbie, 23, who is the first born of four children said,  she started dancing fully while she was in the university in 2011.

She said: “I joined a dance group ‘Reflection’, I wasn’t a professional dancer as of then but I knew I could dance well.I started posting videos online and in reality, I joined the industry as a professional dancer early 2016.”

Asked how she felt joining others like  Kalamandalam Hemaletha of India and Kaffy of Nigeria in the Guinness Book Records, the  dance instructor and choreographer said, she was humbled and overwhelmed.

She further said: “It wasn’t easy while on it but I’m grateful and excited” and also used the opportunity to thank the company that sponsored her “ Puma, Aquila Records,  IBD Impex Ltd and others.

The dancer danced for 137 hours non stop to win an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records, while Kaffy in 2006 led her dance group to break the Guinness Book of Record for “Longest Dance Party” after they danced for 55 hours and 40 minutes.
