Gov Yusuf charges Corps members to be nation builders

Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has charged members of the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream Il National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to dedicate themselves to the state and nation’s progress and development.

Yusuf made this known during the official swearing-in ceremony of the NYSC members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Kusalla Dam, Karaye Local Government

He then emphasised the importance of discipline, leadership, self-reliance, and skills in becoming great future leaders.

“I welcome you all to the larger Nigerian society where you will gradually begin to make your individual and collective contributions toward national growth and development,” he said.

While speaking on behalf of Governor Yusuf, the permanent secretary cabinet office, Hajiya Aisha Kailani, commended the NYSC management for their dedication and commitment to the scheme

He assured the Corps members of his administration’s support and encouragement throughout their service year.

Earlier, the State Coordinator, Hajia Halima A. Abubakar, welcomed the corps members and expressed gratitude to Governor Yusuf for his remarkable support of the NYSC scheme.

She disclosed that ” In the past 53 years, the NYSC has remained a beacon of hope in the country’s mission for a united and peaceful nation.

“It has exposed millions of graduate youth corps members to the diverse traditions and cultures of our different communities while positively impacting the progress and development of our dear country.”

The swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of the orientation course for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream Il Corps members deployed to Kano State.
