Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Islamic scholar and Chief Imam of AG Dalibi Juma’at Mosque, Sheikh Umar Bojude, who died earlier on Sunday in Gombe.
In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa Yahaya described the late Sheikh Umar Bojude as a remarkable Islamic cleric and a strong pillar of the Tijjaniyya order, who dedicated his entire life to the worship of Allah and the spiritual guidance of his people.
He noted the significant impact Sheikh Umar Bojude had on the hearts of his congregation, the Jankai community, and the state at large.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya extended his deepest sympathies to the immediate family of the deceased, members of Fiyanul Islam, the Tijjaniyya community, and the Muslim faithful across the state and beyond.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to shower His infinite mercy upon the soul of Sheikh Umar Bojude, forgive his shortcomings, and grant him Aljannat Firdaus, according to a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli.
