Gov Inuwa hails APC’s resounding victories in Imo, Kogi

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has congratulated his Imo State counterpart, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, and Kogi State Governor-elect, Usman Ahmed Ododo, on their resounding victories in the November 11 governorship elections.

The Governor, who is also the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, said the triumph of the APC candidates in both states underscored the popularity and the unwavering confidence the people have in the governing party.

According to him, “It is with immense pleasure that I warmly congratulate our candidates in Imo and Kogi States and indeed our great party for recording a landslide victory. This resounding victory is a validation of people’s trust in the APC-led administration.”

He also said, “I have no doubt in my mind that this mandate is another opportunity to build on the foundation of development and prosperity already laid in both states.”

The Governor emphasised that Uzodinma’s re-election for a second term is a testament to his outstanding performance across all sectors, reflecting the trust and confidence Imolites have in his leadership.

Regarding the Kogi Governor-elect, he noted that Usman Ododo possesses the capabilities and leadership acumen to build on the progress and development foundation laid by the outgoing governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, calling on members of the opposition to accept the olive branch extended to them by the winner.

Inuwa Yahaya also extended commendations to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a level playing field for all contestants and applauded the nation’s security agencies for maintaining law and order, as well as the electorate for their peaceful conduct during the keenly contested elections.

The Gombe Governor prayed to Almighty God to guide and enrich the elected leaders with more wisdom to accomplish their commendable work in line with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe.
