Gov Fintiri inaugurates 18.3km road network in Girei Federal Housing Estate

As part of his urban renewal programs, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Monday, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 18.3km roads network in and around the Federal Housing Estate in Girei Local Government Area.

The road compresses a 3.5 km access road with a 10.3m wide carriageway and the internal roads network in the estate making up a total of 14.8km long with 8m wide carriageway.

Finitri, at the event held at the Housing Estate in Banabure,  said the project will provide the right solutions to the problems of the inhabitants of the area and their visitors.

The award to MSSR Triacta Nig. Ltd. is expected to be completed  in 12 Months.

Governor Finitri noted that “my administration remain committed to launch aggressive multi sectoral approach to convert the infrastructure deficit of the state through urban renewal campaign and rural infrastructure and community development derive”.

“In 2019, we unveiled the 11 Point Agenda that provided not only the philosophical foundation, but a moral guide for this administration”. 

“In 2023, for strategic reasons, we recalibrated the development agenda and reduced it to 8-Point Agenda.”

“The  provision of infrastructure has consistently occupied a central place in our   administration’s plans for both the first and second terms because of its tremendous value to our people“.

The Commissioner of Works and Energy, Alh Adamu Atiku Abubakar described the event as the manifesto of promised fulfilled project which he believes will meet the highest standard to ensure durability,

He added that this project will facilitate easy movement and access, boost property value, and attract investment in the area, calling on the residents to take full ownership of the project.

In his remarks, the Project Manager Yola office of Triacta Nigeria Limited, Eng. Ghassan Ghanem assured that the firm will ensure the execution of quality work and complete the project within the timeframe.

Mr Vincent Adendu who spoke on behalf of the community appreciates the Governor for the project and assured him of their daily prayers and support for sustained progress and development of the state.
