The governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, has announced the appointment of the former speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kombowei Benson, as the new Secretary to State Government.
In a statement signed by the acting Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Daniel Alabrah, the Governor also approved the appointment of Chief Benson Agadaga as Chief of Staff, Hon. Peter Pereotubo Akpe as Deputy Chief of Staff and Mr Irorodamie Komonibo as Principal Secretary to the Governor.
Parts of the statement read: “the newly sworn-in Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, on Thursday, approved the appointment of four principal officers for his administration.
“His Acting Chief Press Secretary, Mr Daniel Alabrah, who disclosed this in a press release, said the new appointees include a former Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Konbowei Benson, who will serve as Secretary to the State Government.
“Chief Benson Agadaga as Chief of Staff, Hon. Peter Pereotubo Akpe as Deputy Chief of Staff and Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo as Principal Secretary.
“The appointments are with immediate effect.”
