Gov Bala rallies residents against crime

Residents of Bauchi have been called to complement government’s efforts in safeguarding the state from bandits and other criminal elements.

The call was made by the State Governor, Sen Bala Muhammad while speaking shortly before he flagged off construction of rural roads in Toro LGA of Bauchi State.

The Governor sternly warned those involved in criminal activities and their sponsors to reconsider their actions, “as Bauchi State will be difficult for them to penetrate.”

Bala Mohammed emphasized the importance of collective efforts in ensuring peace and security in the state stressing that security is everybody’s business.

He added that the construction of township roads and bypasses will not only improve infrastructure but also enhance economic activities and social interactions in the affected communities.

Bala Mohammed said the move was in line with his administration’s rural transformation initiative aimed at improving agricultural activities, social amenities, and infrastructural development.

The Governor also stressed the need for quality work urging the contractors to adhere to the contract specification just as he also called on the benefiting communities to cooperate with the contractors towards successful project execution.

In a remark, the State Commissioner, Ministry Works and Transport, Ibrahim Galadima said that the Ministry has employed the services of competent Engineers to ensure that the projects meet the required standard.

In a vote of thanks, the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu praised the governor’s initiative to construct roads in rural areas, saying it will enhance economic growth, social interaction, and access to basic services.

He also applauded the Governor’s stance against criminality, urging residents to support the government’s efforts in maintaining peace and security.
