Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Sen Lawan Yahaya Gumau.
Bala Mohammed described the passing of Senator Lawan Yahaya Gumau ( The immediate past Senator of Bauchi South and Chairman Governing Board of the Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic ) as a painful and great loss not only to his family and constituents but to the entire state and the nation at large.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor stated that, “As a dedicated public servant and distinguished legislator, he served Bauchi South and Nigeria with unwavering commitment, integrity, and a deep passion for the development of his people.”
“His tenure in the National Assembly was marked by his advocacy for good governance, his pursuit of policies that uplifted his constituents, and his unrelenting efforts in ensuring the betterment of Bauchi State.

“ Senator Lawan Yahaya Gumau was a man of humility, honesty, and remarkable leadership, whose contributions to the progress of Bauchi State will forever be remembered. In this moment of grief, Governor Bala Mohammed urged his family, associates, friends, and the people of Bauchi State to take solace in the fact that the late Senator lived a life of service and left behind a legacy of dedication and patriotism.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give his family, friends, and the people of Bauchi the strength and fortitude to bear this immense loss.
