Gov Abdulrazaq greets Muslims on dawn of Ramadan

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has joined the Muslim community worldwide, especially in the state, in welcoming Ramadan, the ninth lunar month, during which fasting is prescribed for Muslims.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Rafiu Ajakaye, the governor specifically congratulated the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on the arrival of the month of mercy, during which the Holy Qur’an was revealed to the blessed Prophet Muhammad.

“May the holy month bring us more blessings and spiritual fulfillment,” the governor prayed.

Governor AbdulRazaq thanked Almighty Allah for preserving the lives of the people in the state to witness another Ramadan. He prayed that Allah accepts their prayers and acts of worship and blesses them with the spiritual fulfillment, forgiveness, and mercy that come with Ramadan.

The governor also urged the community to spend this solemn month praying for a stronger, safer, and more prosperous nation and Kwara State.
