Speaking at a programme organised in commemoration of International Widdows Day, held on June 23, 2018, he lamented that most ministries had abandoned widows, believing that the gospel is all about the pulpit.
“The motive behind bringing the widows together is from the scriptures. Whatever you are doing as a Christian, you must have this at the back of your mind,” he stated.

He added that most widows were abandoned by relatives and friends and their plight sometimes were not always a matter of concern even in churches.
“Some of them don’t have who will take care of them, that is why we felt once in a year we should bring them together, give them what we have and make them happy,” he stated.
Wife of the General Overseer, Glorious International Mission, Pastor (Mrs) Goodness Eze, while speaking to the widows on the topic Overcoming Sexual Advances as Widows, urged them not to allow anyone to take advantage of their situation, not minding that most times their resistance would bring hardship and molestation.
She advised them to stay away from sexual immorality as their body is the temple of God and as many that wished to do so, could remarry.
