Gombe: Police restrict late night movement to curb crime

Gombe State Police Command has place immediate restrictions on movement between the hours of 12am to 5am starting from 7th February, 2025.

The development, according to the Command PPRO, DSP DSP Buhari Abdullahi, in a statement issued on Thursday evening, is following intelligence reports at the disposal of the Command.

According to him, “Intelligence reports inundating the Gombe State Police Command point to the rising threats to safety and security of the citizens in the State.”

“The Command has resolved to curb the menace of these threats, placed restrictions on movements between the hours of 12am to 5am,” he added.

The PPRO stressed that “The Command prioritises the safety and security of the citizens and urged members of the Public to cooperate with the Police in making the State a safe place to thrive.”

The Command also advised Parents/Guardians to caution their wards, as Police will not tolerate any form of violations of the restriction.
