The Gombe State Command of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has deployed its personnel and operational vehicles including ambulances at strategic locations across the State to control traffic, caution motorists and give emergency services where needed during the Easter period.
The Sector Commander, CC Samson Kaura said that part of the activities lined up to ensure an improved traffic flow during the Easter period is the hosting of a mobile Court sitting to book erring traffic offenders.
He also stated that early morning cry is a one-on-one talk with commuters on the need for them to be vocal whenever the driver is driving recklessly.
Moreover, the Command also reached the public through enlightening the public at worship centers on matters of road safety, and patrol enforcement.
Commander Samson Kaura urged the people of Gombe to be law-abiding and wished them an accident-free Easter celebration, as contained in a statement by SRC Janet Kassa, Public Relations Officer.
Meanwhile, the Gombe State Police Command has extended warm Easter greetings to all Christian faithful and the entire residents of the state.
As the season symbolises peace, sacrifice, and renewal, the Command urged all citizens to reflect these values in their conduct throughout the celebration period.
In line with the commitment to ensure a safe and secure environment for all, the Commissioner of Police, Gombe State Command, CP Bello Yahaya, has ordered the deployment of adequate personnel across the state to provide robust security before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.
Strategic deployment of operatives has been made to key areas, including worship centres, motor parks, markets, and other public places.
Patrol teams and undercover officers will also be on ground to monitor activities and promptly respond to any security issues.
The Command assured that it is working in collaboration with sister security agencies and community stakeholders to maintain law and order.

The Commissioner of Police further appealed to the people of the state to celebrate responsibly and cooperate with law enforcement officers carrying out their duties.
