Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed sadness over the demise of the widow of the late Prime Minister, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Hajiya Aishatu Jummai Abubakar who died yesterday at the age of 85.
This was contained in a statement by Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the governor, Ismaila Uba Misilli.

In the condolence message, Governor Yahaya described the deceased as “a great mother, role model and pillar, whose death has left a huge vacuum, not only in her immediate family but the entire nation.”
While extending his heartfelt condolences to the entire Balewas, the government and people of Bauchi State as well as Nigerians in general, Inuwa Yahaya prayed Almighty Allah to forgive the sins of the deceased and grant her Aljannat Firdaus.
