Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has felicitated the Senate President and Chairman of the National Assembly, Senator Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, on the occasion of his 61st birthday describing him as a true democrat.
In a goodwill message he personally signed and issued by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the governor, Inuwa Yahaya described the Senate President as a “true democrat, patriot and progressive leader who has brought to bear his academic and political acumen in the discharge of his responsibility to the admiration of all well-meaning Nigerians.”

He further said that “Mr Senate President, we in Gombe State, the North-East and indeed Nigerians as a whole are proud of your sterling leadership of the National Assembly which has helped greatly in stabilising the polity, deepening democracy and building the nation.”
The Governor added, “As your family, friends and well-wishers join you to mark your birthday, we wish you Allah’s guidance, protection and more blessings as you continue to preside over the apex legislative body and help to build a united senate and enduring legislature that will be the pride of Africa.”
