Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of judicial service, Go-CARES, museums committee members to strengthen governance and drive development across critical sectors.

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the governor’s approval, announced Barr. Mahmood Aliyu Bappari as new member of the Judicial Service Commission, and Malam Haruna Ahmed Imam as State Coordinator for the Gombe State Community Action Resilience and Economic Stimulus (Go-CARES) programme.

The Governor also constituted a high-powered committee to oversee the preservation of museums and monuments in the state, with the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Information, Culture and Ethical Orientation as Chairman.

Members of the Committee include the State Chairman, ALGON; Director-General, Gombe Media Corporation; Alhaji Yaya Hammari (Wazirin Yeriman Gombe) and Mr. Yakubu Sarma, Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties.

Others are Dr. Usman Isa Ya’u (Historian) and Alhaji Abdulfatah Aliyu (Dan Amar Kaltungo) while Prof. Mu’azu Shehu, Permanent Secretary/PPS will serve as Secretary.

Inuwa Yahaya expects all the appointees to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their respective roles in order to advance his administration’s quest to deliver good governance, promote economic resilience, and preserve the state’s rich history and cultural identity.

All the appointments are with effect from 10th January, 2025 as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli Director-General, ( Press Affairs) Government House Gombe.
