Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has extended a message of goodwill to Peter Obi, wishing him success despite the suspension of his visit to Benue.
The gesture comes amid heightened attention on the political landscape.
Recall that Obi had recently lamented his inability to reach Governor Alia ahead of his planned visit to IDP camps in Benue, a development which the governor’s aide dismissed as “bad charity etiquette” and a deliberate attempt to force his way into the state without proper engagement.
Reacting to Obi’s post, Bashir advised the opposition leader to proceed with his plans by getting his people who are on the ground to do it on his behalf.
“You can still proceed with your plans. Get your people who are on the ground to do it on your behalf. God bless your efforts, Sir,” he wrote.
