It was a night of glitz and glamour, last weekend, as three distinguished Nigerians, Wale Adenuga, Jimi Awosika and Bola Akingbade, were inducted into the Brandcom’s Hall of Fame, in Lagos.
The trio were inducted for their enormous contribution to the growth of advertising, Brand Marketing, and the Media in Nigeria, by the marketing communication publication.
Mr. Awosika is the Managing Director of Troyka, with over four decades of experience in advertising and marketing communications, while Bola Akingbade, a former Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, is a marketing guru and corporate leader.
Wale Adenuga, the founder and Chairman of the popular WAP TV, is an embodiment of intellectualism, dedication, and hard work.
Convener of the Awards, and Publisher, Brand Communicator, Joshua Ajayi stated that the three were being celebrated for their enormous contribution to the growth of advertising, brand marketing, and the media in Nigeria.
“For more than half a decade, we took the responsibility of promoting excellence and encouraging quality performance in the industry, which, in turn, elevates the prestige, integrity, and credibility of the Marketing Communications industry in line with our tagline.
“We know that every individual and organization that would receive any award today would feel very proud of a recognition that matches credit with reality,” he stated.
In his response, Awosika expressed his gratitude for the honour bestowed on him and congratulated the publication for taking up the responsibility of supporting and encouraging excellence and growth in the industry.
