Tragedy struck in Ilesa, Osun State on Monday when one Labake Olowokere of Ido Ijesa area allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Seun Komolafe aged 40 to death for dating another girl.
Source informed the Nigerian Tribune that the incident occurred at Okeopo GRA, in Ilesa community around 8.00 pm
According to the source, Labake was said to have gone to the deceased residence to carry her cooking gas when she met another girl in the bedroom of his boyfriend.
The development, which infuriated Labake culminated into a hot argument and she reached out for a fork to stab Komolafe in the stomach, thus causing severe bleeding and his resultant death at the scene of the incident.
However, the corpse of the deceased had been taken to Wesley Guild Hospital Ilesa for autopsy.
When contacted the acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Osun State Police Command, ASP Mustapha Katayeyanjue confirmed the killing, saying the investigation was already ongoing on the matter.
